Congratulations to Davis Concrete in Alsip, who was awarded the Pulaski Road Sidewalk project.
In 2012 The Alsip Chamber of Commerce & The Alsip Industrial Association worked with the Village of Alsip to pass a “Local Vendor Preference Ordinance” . This ordinance allows local bidders to receive preference over non locals, if their bids are very close. What a great way to stimulate our own local economy, by supporting our local contractors. Shopping local includes hiring local contractors whenever possible. We applaud the Village for passing this ordinance, and setting an example for shopping local. Local businesses support the Park, Schools, Library & The Village with their tax dollars. It’s a win win for all.
