Alsip is governed by a body of dedicated civil servants entrusted to maintain quality living standards, uphold the law and enrich the lives of Alsip’s citizens. An elected Mayor and six Trustees form the government that determines and legislates Village policy and maintains the community’s administrative, operational and financial needs. The Village of Alsip also has fulltime fire, police, water, building, health and public works departments.
Recent surveys show that Alsip residents and business owners feel safe in all parts of Alsip, day or night. Both the Alsip Police Department and the Alsip Fire Department receive high praise from residents and business owners for their performance in maintaining the safety and security of Alsip residents and business owners.
